The Residence Pelican is perfectly located and in the heart of Paris, only 3-5 minutes walk to the Louve museum, and within 15 minutes of the Notre Dame De Paris and the Saint-Germain areas.
We stayed here in June 2012 for one night which cost us €188 euro. We had our own self contained apartment with double bed, ensuite and kitchenette (Room 3). We booked this hotel through booking.com but you can book directly through the Residence Pelican website (you may have to book a minimum of 2 + nights if using the website directly).
The Residence Pelican has a total of 5 apartment rooms, our apartment was clean and tidy with modern furniture (double bed, LCD flat screen, fridge etc) it has period features, felt romantic and cosy.
On the downside if you have a lot of luggage you’ll have to carry these up the stairs, being 5 apartments means you have 5 levels and no elevator. The staircase is quite narrow so bare this in mind. The manager helped and carried one bag up for us when we checked in.
Staff: Very friendly and helpful, free wifi was available for use throughout the residence.
Room: In terms of the room, it had standard furniture (flat screen, ensuite) and layout. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but adequate. Towels are supplied but no soap or shampoo/shower gel.
Location: Ideal location within walking distance to some main attractions and close to a number of metro stations.
Breakfast: Breakfast was not included; there was a coffee machine but no coffee or milk etc.
Rating: 3 out of 5 (due to the location the Pelican is recommended)
