The great thing about Ibis hotels is you know what you’re going to get. It will be reasonably priced for the area, clean, functional with breakfast included and generally have car parking facilities.
This one was no different, on the plus side the Ibis Seville is slightly outside of the city centre which meant we didn’t have to navigate down the small and narrow streets in the city and they had free parking on site. Another plus was that there was a bus 5 minutes walk from the hotel which only cost €1.30 euro to get into the city centre. Taxis were around €8-10 depending on where you are.
On the downside there isn’t much around the hotel. The petrol station and Lidel (super market) were just up the road but the Ibis Seville is located on a main road that turns into a motorway & there are numerous one way roads so you need to consult a map before setting off. You need to be careful you know which turns to make otherwise you could get very lost (this happened to us)
We happened to stay while the football was on so there was a nice atmosphere in the TV area in the reception while the game was on.
Staff: The hotel staff were really friendly and very helpful, WIFI was available and a guest computer was available for use in the reception.
Room: In terms of the room, it had standard Ibis furniture (flat screen, ensuite) and layout. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable (very hard but we found nearly all hotels in Spain were like that) but adequate.
Location: On the outside of town, on Calle Aviacion. (use a SAT NAV or map it out first)
Breakfast: Breakfast was good, fairly standard.
Rating: 3 out of 5
