The Mogador is a budget hotel and we stayed for 2nights and upon arrival we asked for a quiet room (I had seen reviews stating it was noisey by the bus station). Reception was very helpful and our room was good, nothing flash but good for the price you pay. Our Room & Bathroom were fine and breakfast was good safe food. All in all no complaints. The hotel is very handy to Djemaa El Fna (main square) and benefits from having a super market right next door. Note: This is not a real Ryad, its a large hotel with the Ryad name.
Staff: Very helful and happy to help if you need anything. **Be aware if you ask the door man for a recommended place to eat he'll offer something around 200-300dirhams and try to get you into a local taxi outside the hotel, politely decline and make your way into the main square. Average meal is around 30-50dirhams.
Location: Right next to the main bus station, easy to get to from the Airport. Bus number 19 from the airport to the hotel is about 15minutes and costs 30dir return. The hotel has a super market right next door, very handy for bottled water and other items.
Room: The bed was good and the room has a safe if you need to store valuables. (I'd recommend keeping your passports on you at all times)
Breakfast: Basic stuff, eggs, breed, orange juice etc. (Breakfast is included free if staying at the hotel)
Rating: All in all, a nice hotel for the price you pay. 3 out of 5
Tip: I'd recommend a day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, a truly amazing experience and get's you out of Marrakech and into the Atlas mountains, private tours to the falls cost around £25 per person. If you'd like further information please use the contact us tab or post a comment on the blog.
